History of LION GROUP
- 1900s: Mr. Mirza Abdul Kader Sarder Founder of Lion Group started a shoe manufacturing business in Old Dhaka, which has paved the way for Lion Group to start their journey.
- 1940s: A new branch of Lion Cinema was opened in Chittagong.
- 1947: Mr Kader Sarder established a philanthropic, social welfare and community development organization to help the poor people of this country, named Kader Sarder Foundation.
- 1979: A new venture, called N N Films, was opened by MrMirza Abdul Khaleq, son of Mr KaderSarder in Bangladsh which produced many famous and popular Bangladeshi films in later years.
- 1993: A toy manufacturing company was established with the joint collaboration of the Thai people, called Lion Toys.
- 1997: Another company was opened for producing voltage stabilizer and IPS called Lion Electronics.
- 1999: The flag-ship company of the group was established called Lion Agro for producing broiler chicks and eggs.
- 2001: Another business unit was established for trading poultry, dairy and fishery feeds and medicines, called Lion Overseas Trading Company.
- 2005: LION Electromechanical Services has been established in this year and has become a large-sized modern enterprise integrating the development, production and marketing of household and central air conditioners
- 2006: The new Lion Group corporate mark and logo are launched.
